- Driver Education is a 48-hour program consisting of 16 – 1 ½ hour lecture classes and 16 – 1 ½ hour behind the wheel instruction. Attendance at ALL lecture classes and behind the wheel instruction is MANDATORY.
Students must attend ALL classes to complete the program and receive their MV- 285 Certificate.
- The lecture portion of the program will be taught in-person by one of our certified secondary teachers certified to teach Driver Education.
- Behind the Wheel Instruction, students will be in a car with three other students and an instructor from The American Driving Academy.
- All lectures and driving will take place at Arlington High School. For the driving portion, students will be picked up and dropped off at Arlington High School in the front of the building.
- This program teaches the student proper techniques, laws, and responsibilities pertaining to driving in New York State.
